What Is the Jackpot Feature and How Does It Work?
What Is the MegaNodes Jackpot Feature?
The MegaNodes Jackpot feature distributes accumulated Jackpot funds randomly to users belonging to an agent according to the system's payout conditions.
The feature is active only when the agent's jackpot_rate is set to a value greater than 0.
How Is the Jackpot Fund Accumulated?
Jackpot funds are normally accumulated automatically from player bets.
Accumulated amount = Player bet amount × jackpot_rate
For example, if jackpot_rate is 5%, an amount equal to 5% of each player bet is added to the Jackpot fund. An agent administrator can also use the BackOffice to manually increase the Jackpot balance for a specific provider.
Accumulated Separately by Provider
Jackpot balances are accumulated separately for each provider, rather than being combined across all games. Each provider therefore has its own Jackpot balance and payout status.
Jackpot Types
MegaNodes supports four Jackpot types:
- Mini
- Minor
- Major
- Grand
Each type has its own trigger amount. In general, the higher the trigger amount, the lower the probability of that Jackpot being triggered. Mini may occur more frequently, while Grand can provide larger awards but occurs less often.
Which Players Have a Higher Chance?
Jackpot selection is not based only on a completely uniform random process.
- Players with higher betting volume
- Players with larger accumulated losses
- Players who continue playing games from the relevant provider
Such users may have a relatively higher probability of being selected for a Jackpot payout.
How Is the Jackpot Paid?
Jackpot winnings are delivered internally in the form of a Bonus Call. While a Jackpot payout is in progress, the player does not know that the win was generated by the Jackpot system and it may appear as a normal game win.
While a Jackpot payout is being processed for a user, the agent cannot issue a separate Bonus Call to that same user. This prevents conflicts between the automated Jackpot payout and a manually triggered Bonus Call.
Jackpot Payouts Do Not Change API Money
A Jackpot payout does not increase or decrease the agent's API Money balance. Jackpot payouts are made from the separately accumulated Jackpot fund and are managed independently from the standard API balance.
What Operators Should Monitor
- jackpot_rate configuration
- Jackpot balances by provider
- Mini / Minor / Major / Grand trigger levels
- Player betting volume and profit/loss status
- Actual Jackpot payout history
Used properly, the Jackpot system allows operators to provide large-win experiences naturally within normal gameplay while keeping Jackpot funds structured and manageable.
