How Does Maintenance Work?
How Is MegaNodes Maintenance Classified?
MegaNodes maintenance is primarily divided by timing into scheduled maintenance and emergency maintenance.
It is also classified by target:
- API maintenance
- Provider maintenance
- Individual game maintenance
The scope of service interruption depends on the maintenance type.
Scheduled Maintenance
Scheduled maintenance is generally performed once every 2–4 months.
It may be used for:
- system updates
- major feature additions
- new provider additions
- infrastructure maintenance
- accumulated platform changes
The purpose is to improve overall stability and operating conditions.
Emergency Maintenance
Emergency maintenance is performed when a serious issue occurs or immediate technical action is required.
Examples include:
- critical game errors
- provider outages
- API failures
- infrastructure changes
- network or server incidents
- urgent patches affecting service stability
Depending on the issue, emergency maintenance may begin quickly without a long advance schedule.
API Maintenance
API maintenance affects the overall MegaNodes API environment.
After API maintenance is completed:
- Transaction History older than 7 days is deleted
- Game History for all providers is deleted
During API maintenance, the following are unavailable:
- all Game Launch requests
- API queries
- API transaction processing
- BackOffice access
This means the entire API service is temporarily unavailable during API maintenance.
Provider Maintenance
Provider maintenance affects an entire game provider.
It may be used for:
- provider updates
- major error patches
- provider API changes
- connection problems
- urgent fixes
Provider maintenance is not performed as regular scheduled maintenance. It is used only when required as emergency maintenance.
While a provider is under maintenance, all games from that provider are unavailable.
Individual Game Maintenance
Game maintenance applies to a specific game or group of games when a serious issue is found.
The affected game is placed in Maintenance status until the issue is resolved.
Once the problem is fixed and the game returns to normal, a separate notice is posted.
When Is Maintenance Announced?
Planned maintenance is normally announced one day before it begins.
The notice generally includes:
- maintenance date
- start time
- expected duration
- maintenance target
- affected services
Maintenance notices are published through the MegaNodes Telegram announcement channel.
If you need the channel URL, contact our technical support team.
New Games and Normal Bug Fixes Usually Do Not Require Maintenance
Not every update requires downtime.
The following are generally deployed at runtime without maintenance:
- new game additions
- normal bug fixes
- minor configuration changes
- small feature improvements
So adding a new game or applying a routine fix does not normally require a full maintenance window.
What Happens When a Serious Error Occurs?
If a serious problem occurs with a specific game or provider, only that target may be placed into Maintenance status.
Once the issue is resolved, service is restored and the normalization is announced separately through the announcement channel.
Service Availability During Maintenance
The affected service cannot be used while maintenance is in progress.
- API maintenance: all API and game services unavailable
- Provider maintenance: all games from that provider unavailable
- Game maintenance: affected game unavailable
> MegaNodes applies normal updates and routine fixes at runtime whenever possible. Maintenance is used when service interruption is actually required, and planned maintenance is normally announced one day in advance through the Telegram announcement channel.
