How should you choose an iGaming API provider?

Evaluation criteria that matter

Marketing decks look alike. Production divergence shows up in wallets, regions, docs, and day-two operations. Use a checklist before you commit.

Integration surface

Prefer one REST contract over a patchwork of studio SDKs. Confirm both Transfer and Seamless if your roadmap might change (wallet models).

Latency and geography

Ask where game traffic actually terminates. MegaNodes operates kr (Seoul), de (Frankfurt), and ca (Toronto) so APAC, Europe, and Americas each have a nearby node.

Operator tooling

Catalogue alone is not enough. You need agents, assignment, history, RTP control, Bonus Call, and jackpots. MegaNodes puts these in BackOffice — see Features.

Documentation quality

Swagger for interactive calls and a PDF guide for offline review should both exist. Vague “we will send Postman later” is a red flag.

Commercial transparency

Prepaid agent wallets with published rate logic beat opaque monthly minimums. Review Pricing and pressure-test assumptions with Contact.

Catalogue breadth

Inspect real titles and verticals on Games — slots, live, fishing, mini games — not only logo walls.

Red flags

  • No clear rollback / callback idempotency story.
  • Single-region hosting for a multi-continent brand.
  • RTP or promo tools only available via ticketed engineering work.
  • Demo environments without documented daily/session limits (or the opposite: limits that are secret until you hit them).

Choose a partner whose operating model matches how your teams ship markets — not just whose slide deck lists the most logos.
